This brother initially did his burger business with his wife as an asistance, and his wira is where he placed his son.. That time, Mareesa hasn't born yet, we were just got married..

Now after approximately 4 years, he got his own van, with registered company, and with his own staff and uniform..

Ao much of an improvement for a man with a vision, though only sells burger for the family.. Yes, i bet he only sells burger as his main income..

I hate iphone

I hate iphone for their email. It just came way too late. Email comes after 2-3 hours?

It is just frustrating. In business, this is a letdown..

Well, i am here. And i am stuck here. It has been the third weeks, and i'm required to stay here for another two weeks..

Train the trainer. I'm now training the Trainers that are suppose to train the rest of the users.. It is quite hectic here (in the classroom) but yet, it feels very empty when i'm outside. No friends? Yes, well maybe..

They have great facilities, swimming pool, tennis court, but the tennis court is a letdown..

Anyway, i enjoyed the calmness of here, but i miss the business of the big town.. Hoho.. And being alienated here, makes me think a lot of other things that i missed.. 

3rd black belt for my Savvy Baby..

Yes. The title says it all. This is the 3rd black belt for my Savvy. She has served me well since 2006.. Wow time flies.. 

But not with 4 rear bearings, 2 coils, speed sensor, exhaust sensor, actuator, few batteries, and lots of oil change (duhh).. 

People said Savvy is a bad car. High maintenance. Yupp, maybe youre right, but mine is not the bad apples. Like i said, she is serving me well.. Gonna take extra care since you are needing to replace one thing after another since you have reached 5 years old, where all of the people in the world would agree that after 5 years old, maintenance is doubled up.. 

What i like most of my Savvy is that you   require 10k oil change, and you can go 400 to 500 km with full tank of fuel which i think not many car can offer that.. Some more youre amt dear, i have the freedom to change whichever gear.. Later i'll gear you up with paddle shifter eh.. ;-)

Hummer is in the house!

There has been months and months wait and the wait is finally over. Ive come across a very reasonable bicycle shop located at Dengkil..

Hummer. I've never thought that i'll own one since the price surveyed before is close to 2k instead i got it just about 1k with some freebies (helmet and water bottle). 

Couldn't be happier. And couldnt wait to test it out! Wee huu! 

      

Earphones: iPhone 5 vs Blackberry Bold 9900

Yes, these two are free, i mean, included within the box.

Bb's looks cheaper than the iP's. As far as looks is concern, iP won. But for the things that matter, its the sound output. BB is the winner here, hands down. Though iP has better music player and iTunes Store capabilities, their earphones are only good at looks but bad in sound output. I've been using BB for so long and now converting to iP.

No wonder Machines are selling high end earphones and headphones since their factory released earphones are by far, not fun for any music play. Maybe it was designed only for handsfree purposes, period. Mood: unsatisfied since the look is way nicer.

If looks can kill..

If you don't know how to swim, just jump..

The title may seems awkward to one, but most people would say they are offended..

The realization is simple. First you don't know how to swim. But then you want to swim, but you don't know how to swim! Then, how it is going to be?

A - You try to google how to swim, see videos how to swim, as around how to swim and (forward 1 year) you are still searching how to swim. Your toes not even touching the water as yet.

B - You've seen people do it before. You observe it. You keep on observing. Then (forward 2 years), you're still observing.. coz you think that by observing will make you a good swimmer (when you finally swimming) later. Yet, you're not 'swimming' as yet.

C- You've seen people do it. You don't know how. You've thought of the consequences. You've planned (at least) on how to and what to. You're finally touching the surface of the water with your toes. Then you hold back. You said to yourself "I think i need to learn from the best. There are still things that i'll have to learn". Ok, your toes are wet now, do you know how to swim?

D- You know that people can swim. Both big sized people or midget sized, both human form are capable to swim. You are mid sized. Should have had no problem. You state your aim, you should be able to swim too. This is not rocket science. Then you jump into the water. You struggled for the first 5 minutes. Then you stabilize yourself. Now you can float (at least with lots of effort put in). After 15 minutes, less and less effort put in to float as you've gain some experience on what is the best method to stay floating. After 30 minutes, you've already know how to move forward. Then after 1 hour, you can go from point A to point B safely. You went back the other day to practice more, after 1 year, you're as good as Ian Thorpe..

Which one are you? A, B, C or D?

If you ask me, most people are As Bs or Cs. Not many are the Ds. Please make yourself a D. If you wanna learn how to swim, just jump. Make yourself wet. Throw all of your excuses. But above all, evaluate your risk first!

When winning is not everything..

Yes, you won. Yes I win! Yes you lost, oh, I’m lost :’(

The truth is that, it is easy to defeat someone. You can do whatever things you want in order to defeat that someone. You can dig this and that to defeat that person. You can say this and that to defeat that someone you hate. You can pull as many people as you like and start ‘defeating’ that someone which you hate. You may (or might have) shed your tears to gain sympathy. You may quote the best quote in earth to proof that you are good and better and the best and knows everything. All in all, to make sure that you can defeat that someone, you are winning in a way that you thought that is the bestest thing in the word. To defeat. To win!

Seriously, it is not that hard. Anyone can do that with ease. You choose to defeat that person, you’ll do whichever way you possibly could to do that. You may not realizing that what you’ve done may eat you someday or not sooner. You may not know that you can’t hide forever. The truth will reveal itself.

The hardest part is not to defeat someone, but to win someone.

That is the root of all of the relationships that are known to manhood. Either between you and your daughter, or between you and your pet, or between you and your partner..

Take this word of advice and place it in your heart and your brain and execute at once. You’ll win do it.

I was 30 seconds too late..

Wah, what a title..

Long story short, I was 30 seconds too late to take a mobile phone that fell from a moving vehicle (it was taken by the Petronas worker).

It has been a while since I arrived at that Petronas Station. I was waiting in the car, finishing my BBM conversation with aljoagency on the insurance coverage related to our family. My daughter was being admitted and wifey was taking care of her at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital. As I was about to finish reading an email, a car passed by (near my car was parked). And out of a sudden, I head a 'thud' sound. A sound of something fell off the car. It was black and small. The way I see it, it was a mobile phone..

Ok, what am I going to do now? Take the broken phone? Left it there? Let the next car run over the phone? Anyone else saw that? Only me?

So, i decided to take the phone. No one else seems to notice that. I take my things on the passenger's seat (I'll have to look left but the phone fell on the right side of the car - about 5-10 steps away). When I turned right again, I saw a gentleman had arrived to the scene. It was one of the workers there. He was a foreigner, identifiable from the first glimpse of his figure and skin tone. He took the thing, and put them in his pocket.

Ok, i was late a few seconds. Let him return them to the counter or try to turn on the phone again and make a call to the owner or some sort. I didn't see him trying to turn on the phone. Maybe the phone had broken. I saw the battery cover separated from the phone when it was on the floor. The man who took the phone, without even noticing that I saw him picked the phone.

Ok, I decided to continue with my business, queuing up at the Maybank line, to bank in some money to my Maybank account. As I was waiting, i saw that same bunch of guys (that was inside the car before) looking around the entire Petronas for that missing phone. I then tried to seek the man (from inside the Maybank) who took the phone. He was there, looking like nothing is happening, trying to do nothing. Then, came a time where the man (in red Man United t-shirt) asked the very same guy (surely he asked "Ada nampak phone jatuh tak?") but from the reply gestures of the conversation, he (the petrol attendee) said that he had never saw that.

WTF??

He (the petrol man) then walk in a fast pace into the Petronas.

My turn on the cash deposit machine is next. Oh, I can't stand seeing this happening in front of my very eyes. I said to that lady behind me, "Kejap ye.."

Then i rushed outside to that frustrated looking guy (he was about to leave the Petronas) and made a call to him..

"Bro, carik phone ke??"
"Haah, ade nampak tak?"
"Tadi ade Bangla tu ambik.. aku nak gi bank jap.. try tanye Bangla tu.."
That petrol man, never to be seen.

When I finished my thing, I went out and see that Manutd man was having a conversation with that petrol man. From far, I can hear that Manutd man's voice.

"Tolong la bro, kerja I semua kat dalam phone tu.. Bagi lah balik.."

When I arrived there, that petrol man looked at me saying..

"Saya tak ambil, ini lah phone saya (while showing me his white Sony Ericsson flipped phone).. Saya sudah kerja sini satu tahun enam bulan.."

I replied "No, bukan phone ini. Itu tadi phone hitam (I would assume a Nokia or a Blackberry).. I nampak you ambil dekat sana (while pointing to that 'dropped' place).."

That Manutd man replied "Tadi I nampak you pergi belakang buat apa? Mesti you sudah simpan.."

Then I said "Takpa, CCTV ada.. " while pointing my fingers to the CCTV..

They went inside. I think my part is done. It is done in a way, but I really need to go back home now. There are some more important unfinished business that I'll have to take care, sorry Manutd bro..

Pity that Manutd guy. His carelessness is paying some price.
What an attitude from a pump attendee. You are supposed to be trusted, not taking advantages of a mishap.

Hope you got back your 'work phone' Manutd man. And hope you'll be responsible for your lying, petrol man. One year and six months, I just don't know how man other people's things have you taken back home. I'll never respect you again.

This drama happened at Petronas + Maybank + A&W Seksyen 3 Kota Damansara.. If you went there, be careful of that particular man.. He looked nice, but actually he is not.

And never put your things on top of the car while fueling up, most likely you'll forget it. Happened to me once. I'll never put anything on top of the car anymore, unless for a second (maximum) only.

Breakfast like a king

What is breakfast like a king? It simply means - eat a lot! Ya.. A very good morning breakfast will provide you the startup energy throughout the day.. It is essential to your brain as your brain need that boost.. Kalau tak makan nanti otak lembab..

So, I lapar and nak pergi makan.. Tata! ;-)

Plans. Planned?

They said that people who failed to plan, plans to fail.

This is a quote that you'll have to remember for the rest of your life. Everything needs to be planned. From the moment you wake up in the morning to the moment you sleep again when the night comes. But that is daily plan. How about weekly plans? Monthly? Quaterly or yearly? Or even a decade plans?

Note that plan and wish and New year's resolution are all located in different pages though they may somehow sounded familiar. I'd just got my first G-Shock though I wished that in the year 2011. Though it wasn't the one that I wished, it is in the same model range (Military Watches). Maybe I'll blog about that later ;-)

I wished that. But I didn't plan properly on owning that GA-100-1A. I thought whenever I want to buy it, I can get it online. Furthermore I've seen the exact model selling at Giant (watch shop). I didn't realize on the exclusiveness of it. So that what's its worth. When I came back a couple of weeks later, the watch was not there anymore. And to make it worse, it can't be ordered anymore as they are almost impossible to be obtained. Casio had released a new model range (GA-110-xx).. I went to many watch shop, and guess what? I couldn't find the exact model which I want.. It is real exclusive and hard to find..

So that means: I failed to plan, and it also means, I plan to fail on that (without realization). Though it can be bought online (a few pieces still on sale), it is located at the States and might cost me quite some hassles just to get it here. Ok, let it be. I'm now with a 'hard to find replacement' of it.. Hehehe *evil*

Will start to draw plans and work on it. If you only wish for it and in hoping that the thing will appear in front of you, big mistake. In any possible ways, we will have to plan with whatever. And this applies to everything in life. You'll never know when you'll be leaving the world for good.

I cant help myself on being sorry...

Imagine you had just gave birth to a very healthy baby and your baby is just a couple of weeks old.
Imagine a hot sunny day.
Imagine your baby is hungry (or something else) that he/she cried.
Imagine that you couldn’t stop the baby crying by using pacifier.
Imagine that the baby cried so loud.
Imagine you are waiting for the red light among other vehicle.
Imagine you are with your husband are riding a kapcai bike together.
Imagine you are with your husband are riding a kapcai bike together with your baby.

Imagine all the above, are happening in the same time for you, your baby and your husband.

I met with a couple with a baby wrapped in blanket, with a cap that shield his delicate eyes, faced up towards the scorching sun (it was a hot day), with a pacifier but he keep on crying, with his mom trying hard to keep him silent, with his dad looking long up the road, with the cries that made everyone look at the trio.. It would be quite OK if the baby is a one year old son, but i can place a bet, the baby is merely a month old..

I would say that only a heartless person will not feel anything about that condition..

Questions pondered:
[1] Why is the baby being transported in the middle of the day? Why not a later evening or early morning when the sun is not that hot?

Anyhow, lessons learned here.
[1] Always be thankful to Allah of what we have. If we have a car, some of us can barely own a motorcycle. If we have a motorcycle, some of us would barely have a bike. If we have a bike, some of us would barely have anything and have to walk. If we have to walk, some of us would barely have any slippers to shield the feet. If we walk barefooted, some of us do not have a leg to walk.
[2] For whatever reasons, take good care of all the lives we had. In other words, your decedents, your spouse and everything related. If we have a son, take good care of him with whatever constraints that we had. Some of us gaining five figures monthly but couldn’t conceive a baby though with countless of effort being put.

Again, feel sorry for the trio, hope that you guys can manage a better way of transporting the young, as the hot sun can actually made your baby fall sick, in most cases: fever. Hope all went well, hope that the baby will soon give the mom and dad a better life when they are old. Aamin.

How to charge Ipad2 on a Windows PC.

Not Charging. =(

This is what my Ipad2 is showing when i plugged my ipad on a windows PC. It will say it is not charging. However, though it is showing that it is not charging, it actually 'is charging' but will require a longer time (can't exactly tell you how long it'll take, never tested).

Can you solve this? Yes, by using any Mac. Given it an iMac or Macbook(s).
However, there is a thing called Asus Ai Charger.

Asus Ai Charger.
Download and install this and walla! Your ipad will start charging just like whenever it is connected to a Mac.

Notice that the icon is now with a power (lightning) icon, not a word stated "Not Charging" anymore.

Photography 101: Long shutter exposure.

The picture above is a sample of a long shutter exposure. It was taken with 1/8^th of a second with F7.1. Super Steady Shot ON, handheld. A man with his satay. A long exposure picture is a good example on to show the pathway of the fire, and also the movement of the man.

 

What is a long shutter exposure? Well, what is shutter anyway? ;-)

A shutter is just like a window blinds. If it is open, it’ll let the lights come in. If it is closed, it won’t let any light go through. The window glass is your lens. Behind the shutter is the sensor (this is only applicable for digital cameras). The sensor is very sensitive to light. When the sensor is exposed to light, it’ll draw pictures. Basically, that is how a digital camera works.

 

Light go through lens, through an opened shutter, exposed the sensor and produced pictures.

 

If your shutter opens too long, you’ll risk an over exposed picture. What is an over exposed picture? A picture which looks too bright, lost details on most of the subject, and worst case, it went white. If your shutter opens too short, you’ll risk under exposed picture. A totally opposite of the overexposed, still not that much details captured, and worst case, it went black.

 

But, how can I create a nice long shutter exposure by not risking my picture to get overexposed?

 

Not that hard. Remember the basic principal of window & blinds? Yes? Good. Actually there are one more thing to that basic. It is the aperture. It is basically the opening diameter of the lens blades. Means, in other words, between your blinds and your window glass, there are another blinds that are adjustable on the amount of light allowed to come in.

 

In simpler noob calculation, if a perfect picture (P) is 100% consist of 50% (S) shutter opening and 50% (F) diameter of aperture

 

100% P = 50% S + 50% F

 

If you still want a perfect P but with higher (& longer) S, you’ll have to minus the F:

 

100%  P = 70% S + 30% F

 

And vice versa.

 

BUT in photography, a smaller F means that a bigger in F numbering format. For example, F2.8 aperture is bigger than F16 aperture. I think you’ll get confused with it. Ok, example below:

 

100% P = 1/125 S + F2.8

OR

100% P = 1/4 S + F16

 

In example 1, a higher S is needed to get a perfect picture, but your Aperture has to opened big enough to let the light come in through. In example 2, a slower S is needed to let more lights come in because the Aperture is small (not that many lights allowed to go through the lens as the aperture opening is small).

 

Slower S means that your camera has to be that steady and should not move at all to let the picture evenly formed. If else, you’ll result in ‘shaking’ picture. And if you purposely want a shaking picture, just don’t put your camera on tripod~ ;-) Take long shutter picture while jumping, then you’ll get it. Happy shooting Long Shutter Exposure pics!

Options

In life we have options. Is there anything such as 'no options?' I don't exactly tell. Complicated circumstances, yes. But anyhow, options will result in decisions. Either it is a right decision or a wrong decision, they are your decisions..

I am a computer programmer. While I may not extensively writing programs anymore, but I like to write programs. There are many languages, C, C++, VB, UniVerse, jBase, or even SQL, the main ingredients are just equally the same (for some sort). They contains: IF, ELSE, THEN, FOR, CASE, DO, WHILE and the most important thing is END. I can relate this to our life, and yes, they 'are just equally the same (for some sort)'.

No matter what you do in life, no matter what language are you verse with, the things are just the same. The only difference is the way. Whatever you do (or decide), there are always in 'cause and effect' clause. IF you do this, THEN this will happen. WHILE you do this, IF you come across this, DO this. ELSE, do that. In CASE the thing is this, you DO that. IF the CASE is this, you DO that. Our brain is so that powerful that they can 'write' their own programs, without you realizing..

Your brain store A LOT OF PROGRAMS.. You, yes you, helped in the creation of the programs.. Any program will have options. Most of my 'writable' programs will have IF THEN ELSE in it, some of it contains just too many that me myself would have difficulties on 'reading' it all again after leaving the program for some time. But worry not, your brains will not have any problem on reading it all again, rewrite the programs, edit, or even delete them. It is an unfortunate if somehow our brain is damaged and failing to read and write those programs anymore.

We have options, and we always think of options.

Options. Think of options. Don't blame others or blame اَللّهِ for not giving you options.

Since we have so many options, its up to you to choose one that best suits you, or option that is better for others but not you. In Malay traditions, we are being thought to always have courtesy. It is a very good thing to have, but as always, you are the one who possess the key to choose. You decide you own self (and the one that relies on your decisions)

Most people will not liking 'programming language class' (furthermore if you're required to take it for exams), but I don't know why, I like it from the very first minute up till the time of writings. I would say for the rest of my life? But that would be over exaggerating.

Did I mentioned about the most important thing is the END? Your program is not a program, not until it had the END. You do the thinking.

Missed

Missed could have meant many things. I missed the train. I missed her. I missed the spot for an inch. Completely missed the point of the conversation. Honey never missed to call her mom. Missed my blackberry while in the train. Missed Universe *joking*

 

But anyhow, I am missing them. My honey and Naima. This morning was the first time in my life, leaving home with Naima alone, while honey stayed at home. Feel abundantly  awkward. No joke. The moment I set her to the nursery, feels like crying, feels like I wanna take her along to the office. But that is not possible. As yet. Not until I owned my own office, not until then Naima..

 

Life’s like that. One have to change to change oneself. I thought I have heard that too many times. Yes, I did.

 

Missed. A lot of things.

Gamble

Gambling is a bad thing. Rasul اَللّهِ pun larang gambling.

Anyway, I never gambled as in gambling (judi). But somehow, gambling in my own dictionary refers to 'take the risk'. If you wanna learn how to swim, just take the plunge. Don't hesitate. You'll learn how to swim by just jumping into the lake. Only then you'll succeed. اِنْشَآءَاللّهُ

Anyway, my last gamble was about a year plus ago, when I decided to change workplace. There are pro and cons, but the best thing is that I'm working closer to wifey and our house. Still, the ultimate dream is to work from home, besides your loved ones.

During old times when I couldn't decide on which way to go, I'll toss the 20 cent coins. Then I'll follow the result, its either head or toe (I'll always follow the head). But that was 10 years ago. You don't have anyone but yourself.

Now things are different, the horizon is bigger and the weight is heavier. Gamble? No. Gamble? No. Gamble? I don't know. Heck, you'll never know.

My Tonsillitis Story..

Have you ever heard of one? Yourself or friends or friends of friends or relatives which have had their tonsil removed? Well I had mine removed a couple of weeks back, and it took me more than 1 week to recover from the operation..

Picture was taken at random from Mr. Google, indicates that the location and the effect of this tonsil if it got infected. It will got swollen somehow, and it makes you have a few other 'package' like fever, headache, sore throat and even lost your voice (temporarily). I had all of them above, and the hardest part is the part where you lost your voice, and actually, you will have difficulties on swallowing things as well..

In the history of medical and science (how many years have they been? 1000? 2000?), they can't even determine what is the usage of tonsil in our system..

The story begins when I had a very hot fever last year (when Mareesa just 2 weeks old).. Took all of my medicine, then 2 weeks later, I had the fever again. I was kinda weird, as I have never experienced a fever that close before (2 times fever in 1 month gap). Then I thought that maybe because I was too tired travelling (melaka - KL).. Then it happened again on the next month. In one month, there are confirmed days that I'll be in fever.

I've taken the medicines. I went to different docs to have different opinions and meds, but my fever bieber will surely visit me from one month to another.. I was worried with my condition, and so do wifey but we couldn't tell what caused this, why is my condition like this.. Not until in the month of March or April, I had this 'unable to talk' symptom.. Then I knew that my tonsil was swollen, and giving me all these sort of pains and the fever bieber repetition..

The doc told me that I'll be monitored in about a year period, before he can give me recommendation on to cut off my tonsil, not likely to get it in one or two occasions.. So there it goes, since then, I was collecting mcs month by month from the same doctor, and in July, I was given the referral to go for checkup..

Then an operation scheduled, I will have mine removed. The operation went smoothly, it took the docs about 1 hour plus from a to z.. The procedure was simple, but since my doc is a senior doc, he used knife and scissors method, instead of the newer laser method.. So, it took me 1 weeks plus for recovery process.. In the recovery process, my best friend is the pain killer..

And seriously, the pain was so painful, I have never had such a degree of pain before. In other words, the most painful pain that I've ever had is the post operation pain.

Btw, before I forgot, I undergo the operation at KPJ Damansara Specialist. The doc (Dr. Roslan) is a very good doc and the hospitality of the hospital was very nice. I stayed for 3 days before I can be discharged. I can only be discharged when I'm able to eat on my own..

The next checkup was about a week after, and sadly, my throat was still bleeding and I was given an extra 3 days.. And during my 'confinement', all of these are painful : speak, swallow, cough, yawn, giggle, sujud, drinking, and everything that may use your throat..

The good thing is that I'll not have this tonsil problem anymore in the future (as I have mine removed), but the bad thing is that I'll have to bare with the 1 week plus pain.. In order to go 'pain free', you'll have to undergo a very painful state.. And I bet, this applies for everything in our life..
